“What is something you have learned lately?”
Life is full of problems. Yes, I know that likely does not come as a shock, however it is a fact of life. I have recently learned that is an alright thing, and rather than wishing problems away, it is better to work to improve your problems.
For instance, say I quit my job and stayed at home full-time. That means I traded my daily commute, gas expenses, need for childcare, and daily adult social time for diapers, cooking multiple times a day, the need to dishes all of the time, and the difficulty of staying home when my spouse is working from home currently. Not to say there are not good things about either option, but you do trade problems for other problems, even if you improve your life.
I’ve also learned that I thrive when I have problems to solve. That’s why I like what I do. I sit with people in their problems, brainstorm, process, and determine what to do about the problems for the future. Seems simplistic but that’s okay. That’s what I like. Those are the problems I want to continue to solve.
